In a neverending quest to elevate the intellectual level of the discussion on school consolidation, allow me to suggest this study conducted by Syracuse University. While this university doesn't measure up to the standards established by such lofty intellectual institutions like the local coffee shop, it does give some insight as to whether there is big money in launching into a large scale consolidation movement.
