The Governor is missing the point on the statewide health insurance pool. She is right in that the net savings will most likely be zero on the health insurance piece. What she is missing is the administrative cost for the 500+ Michigan school districts who are required by statute to go out for bids on health insurance. If Michigan is ever going to consolidate schools, we MUST standardize as much administration as possible. It's called efficiency! Maybe while state government is encouraging us to "reimagine" ourselves, they should do likewise
